Ipv6 Sockets in Linux
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 14 May 2007 10:51:34
Hallo Guys. Maybe one nows that Apache Virtual-Host based on domain-Named and served on one IP-Address cannot use specific SSL certificates. There can be used just one SSL-Cert per Socket. To solve this al least for people using ipv6 I gave me Webserver some v6 addresses and configured apache2 this way with ip-based virtual hosts. But altougapache is listening on different sockets, is uses the same cert on all sockets. I got a hint that linux maps ipv6 sockets directly on the ipv4 sockets and this may be the reason why apache behaves this way. What do you think? Here's the original thread. It's in german but the configuration maybe helpfull. Thanks.
