PHP IPv6 Tool

Hi, I wrote a small PHP script to check a server for IPv6 capability.
You can find it at http://dev.seb7.de/ipv6/
I'd like to implement more than just a simple nslookup/ping6, so if you have any suggestion on how to improve the script post a message here and I look what I can do to implement it.
But please be patient, I've got these semesters exams and not too much spare time, so it may take a while until I even reply.
Sebastian (who can't wait to get a /48 subnet :-D)

dns_get_record() is indeed a marvelous function, that will give you at least the AAAA and A records and anything else you can find in DNS, then of course you can still use TCP sockets to actually connect to the host in question to check if there is anything really active on the host.
I wonder how useful this really is though.

The most interresting tool would be a port scanner with some added intelligence.
I have been thinking of a tool that allows you to scan a system through a webpage a bit like GRC. But with the added logic that it will be IPv6 based and will allow you to choose the IP adres out of your own /48 network.
At the moment it is just a thought. If people like it I might just write up something to do this.
Perhaps we can even take it one step further and allow to scan every address that one likes to check from a list of registered addresses.
So say I ask to do a scan while my IPv6 address is 2001:838:3dd:0:21b:fcff:fe93:a1ab it will not just allow any address in the 2001:838:3dd::/48 range but in fact any other address I registered with SixXS.

Hi There
I am working on my online portscanner called FreeScan.
It has an IPv6 version at http://miniscan6.freescan.dk/
which will allow you to portscan YOUR address, meaning the one you connect from.
It will then scan using Nmap and mail you the open ports and attach the RAW Nmap XML, which you can open using Zenmap from Nmap.org
The web site is www.freescan.dk, but I haven't translated it to english yet.
I also made a small script using cURL, so you could run this on the IPv6 hosts you would like to scan - no need to copy-paste those long autoconfigured address to a web application :-)
That script is currently at http://www.kramse.dk/files/tmp/minime
Mail me at hlk@kramse.dk if you have problems
