Hi.
I have problems reversing ipv6 address into domain names, where the ipv6 addressese are originating from SixXS.
However I dont have any problems with addresses from others TB.
I've read that other people experience the same problem, but the staff still denies the existance of any problem.

It works when i use 'dig' but it doesnt work anywhere else.
can you please explain why ?

What has that to do with reverse?
Go read some manuals and documents before making a fool of yourself.
And do real diagnostics.

As you didn't show any reverse lookup how are we to guess what the problem is? And which people are experiencing what problems and where. Also please show us where we "deny" these problems.
I really hate false accusations without any reasoning.

I'd rather not enter into discussions while iam feeling a hostile ambiance.
I can read several place in the forum , where some users say they experience
problems with the reverse dns.
My "problem" is that when i connect to some irc server, using this address: 2001:960:610::1, it showslike 'user@2001:960:610::1' insted of 'user@ioftpd.ikaro.dk'
Also the message i get from the server is : could not lookup hostname.
so something is wrong, maybe on my side maybe not, iam only asking for help to find out what/where is the problem.

If your hostname isn't displayed in irc, and well on other places, that could very well be a problem with the irc server.
I have exactly the same, but I know the problem is my irc-server (irc6.oftc.net). I asked the staff of oftc.net and they are working on a solution.

Then FIND and SHOW the problem. Saying "oh it doesn't on IRC" is such a bad thing. IPv6 is NOT for IRC.
Learn from the problem by finding out the problem.

Well.., I am relatively new to DNS but I do understand it so I'm going to give you a straight answer. Under FreeBSD reverse is done like this:
for 2001:960:610::1
open named.conf and put this:
zone "0.1.6.0.0.6.9.0.1.0.0.2.IP6.INT" {
type master;
file "2001-960-610.reverse";
};
save and exit file. note that the "0.1.6.0.0.6.9.0.1.0.0.2.IP6.INT" is actually just the reverse of your /48 prefix seperated by dots with IP6.INT appended.
file can be anything.
open file name specified in file field and put this:
SOA information. im not gonna type this here. you figure it out.
1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0 IN PTR hostname.goes.here. ;<--- note it ends in a dot (fully qualified hostname)
Also note that the numbers 1.0.0.0 etc are simply the rest of the IP in reverse seperated by dots
save file and exit
restart named

Note that RIR space uses ip6.arpa and not the deprecated ip6.int.
6bone space should have been using ip6.int too but due to many political problems it still hasn't been delegated yet. glibc for example thus first tries ip6.arpa and then ip6.int.

All this also makes my case very clear that apparently you have null intention of learning and trying yourself.
You still haven't shown any diagnostics or told what you tried and how you tried it so how the peep can anybody help you out any further.
