Sharing my IPv6 Subnet
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 17 October 2006 11:17:16
Hai everyone, regarding to the FAQ, sharing the delegated subnet with others is not allowed. But what if I share my subnet with myself? As we all, I have a /48 coming out of my tunnel. Now I want to build a few IPv6 openVPN-Tunnels to connect my home- and my office-LAN to my primary location. (the location with the tunnel) I'm thinking of a setup like http://www.join.uni-muenster.de/Dokumente/Howtos/Howto_OpenVPN_Tunnelbroker.php to realize that. But - am I allowed to? Sorry for this kind of 'dump' question, but I'm not really sure. Thanks, Sebastian

In that case it is just another extension of your network, thus why should that not be allowed? It is most likely, depending on the locations of the two sites that getting a second tunnel + subnet is a faster solution, als bandwidth wise at those endpoints.
