road warrior setup
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 19 March 2008 23:39:39
Hi all, I've got my IPv6 network up and running just fine. Unfortunately, I'm on the road quite a bit and I am not having any IPv6 connectivity when I'm out of office. What I'd like to build up is a second, dynamic tunnel just for my notebook in order to have IPv6 connectivity anywhere. What's the correct setup for this scenario? Is it a valid approach to request a second tunnel for the road warrior and use it from basically everywhere in the world? The recommendation to use the 'closest' PoP obviously isn't possible with this approach. Any alternatives? Or is it just too early to have IPv6 on each and every public WLAN hotspot? best regards Bernhard

Just request a second tunnel, noting in the reason field what your intended usage is. That is one of the reasons why there is a reason field. AYIYA tunnels are a perfect fit for these setups, as they tend to work most of the time.
