heartbeat problem exit on signal 11

I have a freebsd 4.8 server that have heartbeat running. When my ipv4 connection break down (just one second) the heartbeat client exit on signal 11 (Segmentation Fault). I tried to see the source code to resolve the problem but i didn't see where it could happened. If someone can help me. Thanks.

Which is a segfault, would you be so kind and report this to info@sixxs.net along with the coredump, a strace etc?
Having seen another report it probably has to do with some oddity in the resolver code of freebsd 4.[7|8].
