Hello I have the following situation: 1) configured OpenWrt and tunnel is up and running can ping6 sixxs.net and www.kame.net from openwrt router it seems all works fine 2) on my Mac IP configuration for IPv6 is set to automatic. but I can not coonect any ipv6 site (www.six.heise.de, www.sixxs.net) when I try to ping6 on the Mac I see the ipv6 adresses but get no response when connecting www.kame.net it does not show an ipv6 connection (no moving turtle). Any idea what I have to configure on router or client side??? Best Regards Peter

Can you show a 'traceroute'? Can you check that on your client you have addresses other than fe80::/10?

On the router you have to enable RA for your subnet (a /64 out of your /48) and forwarding of course, that is about it. Wiki has some details for OpenWRT.

Hello Peter, I have the same setup working at home, so here are my pointers, once you got the tunnel working: 1. Do you have a global routable IPv6 address on your Mac? If not, you need to properly configure RA, see OpenWRT IPv6 howto for the details on how to configure RA. 2. If you have a global IPv6 Address, can you ping your router's br-lan interface, as well as your tunnel endpoint. If you can ping the first, but not the second, then your routing on the OpenWRT is not set up correctly, you might need a route to the /64 that you use for the RA 3. If you can ping up to your pop but nothing further, then you might be bitten by the Linux kernel bug that requires you to have a route for 2000::/3 for IPv6 to work. That depends on the version of your OpenWRT. Cheers, -daniel

Remember - MacOSX has both traceroute6 and ping6 ... can you ping6 your router? What does a traceroute6 to SIXXS show?
