IPv6 DNS-Servers in dhclient.conf not working?

I'm having my domain name server 2001:6f8:xxxx::1 running here at home and I've added that one to my resolv.conf manually. Unfortunately, this entry gets deleted everytime I'm using dhclient (from dhcp3-client on Debian unstable) here at the university. I'm usually having IPv6-access over a VPN so "prepend domain-name-servers [2001:6f8:xxxx::1];" would be the option I'm looking for for my /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf so that domain name servers offered by a dhcpv4-servers get appended under my ipv6 domain name server. But dhclient does not seem to recognise IPv6 addresses. Do I have to use a different dhcpv4-client?
Cheers, Linus

you need to also use a 'supersede' line.
see this thread for instance where they also discuss it. It is something a lot of people run into as you would think that your settings would be honored, but those are just defaults, the server can override them, which is why supersede super-overrides them again.

IMHO, a better fix for this is something like the resolvconf package (if you're on a Debian system).
