Unable to connec to server behind Airport Extreme (6to4)?

I am trying to establish whether the issue I am having is specific to my setup or whether it effects everyone. I have setup my Apple Airport Extreme to use the "automatic tunnel" as described here: https://www.sixxs.net/wiki/Apple_Airport and I am connected to my service provider using PPPoE. Behind the router I have a computer with an Apache 2.2 web server running, listening on both IPv4 and IPv6. When I try to connect to that computer on port 80, using the routable IPv6 address it does not respond. I have even deactivated the firewall for my attempts. Since previously I had been using Aiccu and had managed to connect to the server that way, I am quite certain that the server is binding to port 80 on the IPv6 stack. Connecting using the IPv4 address works, as does the non-routable IPv6 address from within the subnet. Has anyone run into this issue? Is there a known work around? BTW In the meantime I have opened up radr://7263443 at Apple.

You say using the non-routable IPv6 address (I'm assuming FE80: ) from inside the firewall works...what if you use the routable IP address (eg 2001:DB8) from inside the firewall?

The non-routable address is the fe80: based one. I can connect to the server using the routable IPv6 address, from within the network.

I forgot to mention that at this point I am unable to really establish whether the cause is the AE, or maybe an upstream firewall that I am not aware of. BTW Does anyone know how to establish what routable IPv6 address the AE is giving to itself?
