Gets IPv6 address but cannot make connections

I am running a box with Ubuntu Linux 9.10 Karmic x86_64
I can create a tunnel, as I get an IP, but I cannot create any connections, not as much as a ping.
When I run AICUU the "sixxs" interface is added. The following is added to ifconfig automatically: sixxs Link encap:IPv6-in-IPv4
inet6 addr: 2001:1938:00:fe::2/64 Scope:Global
inet6 addr: fe80::c0a8:1fe/64 Scope:Link
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1280 Metric:1
Packet Summaries (all of which report 0 packets were sent and/or recieved)
I am not forwarding any ports in my router for AICUU. My firewall (I use ufw, and gufw to manage it) denies incoming by default, but it allows all outgoing by default. The same is with my router's firewall.
This is my first time with IPv6, but I have done enough networking and hacked linux enough, so no need for simple instructions.

I would just like to add that I don't get any errors, nor do I see anything strange in the logs.
On a side note, we need a edit button :P

What kind of tunnel do you have? If it's 6in4, you need to allow proto41
Can you post your routing table and the output of ifconfig -a

According to that it is proto-41. Most likely this does not work either due to the NAT box or firewalling in place. AYIYA would resolve the first and in many cases also the latter.

I noticed one of the problems was that UFW was blocking IPv6 out (although it did not show it), so I switched over to IPTables and it worked like a charm. Now it's an AYIYA tunnel (it might have worked with the original heartbeat tunnel, but no way to check anymore).
