Newbie. Can router aslone keep tunnel up?

Hi Guys, I have just set up my tunnel manually - all seems to work OK.
But don't want to leave my PC switched on to keep the tunnel UP with heartbeat.
How to keep the tunnel up from my dlink 825 router? Thus router fuly supports IPv6 but not AICCU tool.
Any ideas please?

I have a D-link DIR-615 (firmware C1) router, and it keeps the IPv6 tunnel up by itself just happily. So my advice is based on that experience, as I guess 825 to be rather similar.
You can't have a heartbeat tunnel (AYIYA & AICCU) maintained by that router, but instead you need a "static tunnel" from SixXS (and also a subnet for that tunnel).
Then you configure the router's IPV6 connection type to be "IPv6 in IPv4 Tunnel", and enter the tunnel endpoints there.
My Windows7 (previously Vista) gets IPv6 address by autoconfiguration from the router, and there is no need to have any IPv6 configuration (or tunnel software) in Windows itself.
Ps. you need ISK credits for changing the tunnel type and for new tunnel & subnet, so be careful with the actions you take.
It might be wise to ask for a second tunnel and keep the AICCU tunnel as a backup.

Don't forget to mention that this requires a static IP address.

Yes it does, but only in theory.
In practice many ISP's continuously assign you the same IP. Especially, when your router is always on and regularly refreshes its IP address from DHCP server.
I don't officially have a static IP, but it has still remained the same for 18 months...
If you keep your router always on, most likely you can live just fine with a static tunnel.

That depends a lot on your ISP :-)
For example in Germany 80% of SOHO connections are on PPPoE with dynamic IP addresses and forced reconnects every 24 hours. So you get a new address every day.
