radvd announces not passing through dlink DIR-300
[ie] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 26 February 2010 16:16:52
I have a small issue on my home network. I terminate a tunnel on one machine of my LAN, and then announcing a subnet via radvd. I can receive those announces on any cat5 connected machine (via homeplugs, internal switch of the dir-300, other switch...). But it seems that those announces don't pass the wire->wireless bridge of that router/wirelessAP. I've explored all the possible configurations of that router to no avail. Is there anything that could be done on the radvd side, or has anybody experienced the same ? OTOH, I just received a new piece of hardawre, an Alix2D3 that will probably replace all that more neatly.

Could be a multicast related issue in that the internal switch/bridge of the box does not pass multicast between the two links. You can btw apparently run OpenWRT Kamikaze on DIR-300 next to the vendor apparently having IPv6 enabled firmwares for some versions too.
