Fresh Start with OpenWRT and I still need some help

Hi again,
I re-flashed my router and I now have OpenWRT on it, and for the most part things are setup. I've followed the instructions as much as I could, but I am stuck in the config section(s).
I have installed all the packages for IPv6 and aiccu, but with very very limited Linux experience and knowledge, I am stuck because I don't know how to configure the config files.
I have putty installed, and I can maneuver within the ssh interface, but I have no idea how to actually edit the files. I used vi but the commands are really greek to me. I've copied and pasted the config into the file, and but I haven't been able to figure out how to save the file. I think I may have saved it, but then when I try to start aiccu, I get an access denied error.. and that it can't find /etc/aiccu.conf. (Which is located at /etc/config/aiccu.conf).
I really don't need a crash course in Linux, as once I get this up and running it's unlikely I will ever need it again, but if someone can guide me, I would be so appreciative.

You have to place the config file, where the program expects it. So copy it like this:
cp /etc/config/aiccu.conf /etc/aiccu.conf
A little bit of experience in Linux would help ;-)

Run /etc/init.d/aiccu start to manually start aiccu. This will happen automatically when you reboot.
