Is it possible - winxp + nat + other computers
[si] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 04 February 2005 14:08:26
Hello, i have 4 computers together in a network with one Level1 hardware router. Since the router doesnt support proto41 (if i understood properly), i intend to make a software router. But the problem is, that if i want other computers to connect thru this server, I need a software gateway(router) (with NAT) that would support ipv6 (for the local computer to connect ipv6 and ipv4) and other computers to connect ipv4 to the internet. Another thing is that i use windows xp, so does anyone know of a program that would route ipv6 and ipv4? even if it costs $50. Regards, Matej

Windows XP can do IPv4 NAT and route IPv6 if that is your question, see the FAQ: How do I give connectivity to other hosts on my subnet? : Windows
