Home page indicates 100% loss, but tunnel works
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 21 September 2010 22:08:48
Hi all, I'm brand new to IPv6, but got my tunnel up-and-running within the last 2 days. It works GREAT! I'm looking forward to be able to get a subnet and provide all my clients with IPv6. One question remains (for now): If I check my home page on the SixXS website, the statistics report 100% loss and no latency (nan) is reported. Can someone tell me what that means? Do I have to reconfigure my (Windows 7) firewall? And if I'm not really 'visible', will it affect my ISK increase (needed for the subnet)? Kind regards, Ralph.

I can answer these questions, but not solve your problems. The solutions is somewhere in the FAQ.

The answers are: Yes, Yes (probably) Yes, you will not get ISK (Been there, done that)

@Lief Thanks for the answer. Your second 'Yes' did the trick. I allowed ICMPv6 from the other end of the tunnel and now I read latency (8-14 ms) and my loss is 0%. Now I hope my ISK will get increased somewhere next week and I can set up my own subnet. Thanks again.
