Subnet question
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 12 January 2011 22:22:50
Hi, I have ipv6 working on my internal network, sometimes there is a device (freerunner) connected on a computer in the local network using ethernet over usb. How can I make sure this devices 'gets' a proper ipv6 address? Do I need to split up the subnet? Most online documentation says the subnet size should be /64. Are there any disadvantages with splitting the subnet? Of course I could create a bridge, but I would like to do without and setup proper routing.

Subnets that get routed over the tunnel are of size /48, thus contain 65536 /64s which you can use to your hearts content.
