How to forward proto 41 on a Speedtouch 510
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 20 February 2006 02:34:50
I have a speedtouch 510 with firmware 4.3.2.6.0 Does anyone know here what to configure with telnet to forward proto 41? I read the CLI guide for Speedtouch 510 with firmware 4.3.2.6.0 but I didn't find out in there. :{ Is it anyway possible to forward proto 41 on a speedtouch 510? O-) I want to do so to receive the ICMPv6 echo requests. I could set that host in DMZ mode but I don't want to do that.

DMZ mode is most likely the only real way to accomplish it.

This worked for me on a different tunnel and I hope it will for Sixxs: Issue the command :
nat create protocol=41 inside_addr=LOCALIP outside_addr=0.0.0.0 foreign_addr=TUNNELSERVERIP
replace LOCALIP and TUNNELSERVERIP with the appropriate addresses. You don't have to use foreign_addr but this will make sure that only the messages from the PoP are sent through. For more details check the CLI guide from speedtouch (google on it or check their site).
