How to find out if ISP blocks IPv6?
[ch] Shadow Hawkins on Sunday, 12 March 2006 17:40:05
Hi all, after a few hours playing around without success, I hope someone here can help me. If I ping6 my POP from the router (WRT54GS), the ICMPv6 packets are living the router to my ISP, without getting a response. If I ping6 my POP from a IPv6ping-Website, the POP is responding. Is there a way (like traceroute) to find out which hop don't forward my tunneled packets? How can I find out if my ISP is blocking the traffic? BTW, im using a static tunnel. Cheers Blaess

You can try using 'hping2' with which you can send proto-41 packets and then verying the TTL. Do note that your host is not even tracerouteable from the internet, so most likely there are a lot of other protocols being filtered too. Also reading the big flash orange box might help.
