AICCU no longer works after reinstall TAP device
Shadow Hawkins on Sunday, 20 February 2011 05:48:50
Hi,
I have recently reinstalled the TAP device from OpenVPN 2.1.4 and AICCU stopped working. Had reset ipv6 settings using netsh, still no luck. I'm using Win7 x64.
Also disabled teredo, 6to4 and isatap.
AICCU test failed at step 5 where it says "PING: transmit failed. General failure."
Here's the output from ipconfig/all:

Looks like you have some form of 6to4:
IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2002:c0a8:101::(Preferred)
But maybe that is the silly workaround for address control.
Don't do that, instead just use change the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Dnscache\Parameters
and add a DWORD value:
AddrConfigControl = 0
As mentioned in this Direct Access document
For the rest, you seem to have a tun/tap interface called "6to4 Tunnel", try renaming that to "aiccu" instead.
Next to that, what is the output of the console version of AICCU?
(Note that the GUI version does not work with the v9 version of tun/tap)

I had changed the settings according to what you've said and now it stuck at step 6.
The tracert result says general failure.
And here's aiccu output:
