Two IPv6 tunnels behind NAT ADSL router
[gb] Shadow Hawkins on Sunday, 24 July 2011 15:21:39
Hi, I would like to test IPv6 on my Windows and my Linux box. Both hide behind a static ipv4 address. My ADSL router seems happily natting the protocol 41 packets for my first tunnel - a 6in4-static tunnel - ( I request a tunnel to gblon02 for my Windows box ). Now I would like to request a second tunnel from gblon03 to my Linux box - also as a 6in4-static tunnel. Since both tunnels will have the same ipv4 endpoint will it create a problem ? I don't think it does as gblon03 and gblon02 have different ipv4 addresses and my ADSL router can differentiate the connections based on that and NAT correctly to my Windows or Linux private IPs. Is there a better way to test Linux and Windows at the same time behind a NAT ADSL router ? Thank you Markus

The solution to giving all your hosts IPv6 is: - get a tunnel to a box - get a subnet to the tunnel - announce the subnet - profit
