Previously working IPv6 net - no connectivity
Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 01 August 2011 09:30:53
I'm running a mostly Linux network. My IPv6 tunnel has been working but now I have no connectivity beyond my router - this is a simple home network behind a cable router. My IP (v4) is theoretically dynamic, but didn't change until I got a new router, and hasn't changed again since.
One of my internal machines (Ubuntu) is running aiccu and was running radvd, but I've stopped that until I get my connectivity issues sorted.
My IP for the sixxs tunnel is 2a01:348:6:485::2
I'm assuming that the other end of the tunnel is 2a01:348:6:485::1, but ping6 2a01:348:6:485::1 just gives 100% packet loss.
If I try ping6 with -I sixxs then I also get 100% packet loss.
I tried stopping aiccu on that machine and running it on another, with the same result. I'm a bit stumped, and don't even know really where to start.

The "reporting problems checklist" on the contact page is a good one, and of course the FAQ.
If you show the requested details here then we can likely look into what might be going wrong.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I still have IP6 connectivity issues.
Running aiccu shows :
Tunnel Information for T55473:
POP Id : gblon02
IPv6 Local : 2a01:348:6:485::2/64
IPv6 Remote : 2a01:348:6:485::1/64
Tunnel Type : ayiya
Adminstate : enabled
Userstate : enabled
Ping to IPv6 Local works.
Ping to IPv6 Remote shows 100% packet loss.
"ip -6 route" shows :
2a01:348:6:485::/64 dev sixxs proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 hoplimit 0
2a01:348:2e5::/64 dev br0 proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 0
fe80::/64 dev eth0 proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 0
fe80::/64 dev br0 proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 0
fe80::/64 dev sixxs proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 hoplimit 0
default via 2a01:348:6:485::1 dev sixxs metric 1024 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 hoplimit 0
This is with no firewalling or explicit routing. All machines are behind a home router which performs NAT. My external IPv4 address changes very rarely.
Aiccu running on Ubuntu 10.04LTS.
