connecting to ipv4 hosts from ipv6 only host
[be] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 07 August 2007 15:40:44
What's the recommended way to setup a network with ipv6 only, where the router is dual-stack (has an ipv4 address)? Should I use NAT-PT for this? What OS's have a NAT-PT implementation? I couldn't easily find an implementation. Thanks!

I did some checking and started a Wiki article to help you out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6_translation_mechanisms

Thanks! That really helped alot. It's working very nice, ipv6 only, using ptrtd and totd :)

No problem. I'm running a dual-stack operation with stone for IPv4 applications at work for the time being: not sure if I'll try out these other mechanisms anytime soon. *D
