Segmentation of IPv6

Hello,
I am a Newby in V6 and just now setting up my first IPv6 network in an Vlan segmented environment - and I am wondering about definition of subnets.
I learned about /126 or even better /127 subnets as point to point networks.
But if I want to deploy hosts within subnets with autoconfiguration there is a need to for 64 bit interface addresses.
Am I correct if this means I cannot create routed subntes smaller than /64?
Please help!
Thank you in advance!
Bye, Robert Lang

If you want to use auto-configuration you indeed need a /64 for a subnet, otherwise the EUI-64 portion does not fit.
