No fast PoP

I'm trying to set up a tunnel from South Africa, but unfortunately, when requesting the tunnel, all the PoPs I had to choose from had pings with average round trip times >= 400ms. Being hopeful, I chose the PoP with the lowest average ping time (~400ms), but not surprisingly, the request was rejected. Is there another avenue I could explore to get IPv6 connectivity, or any other PoP I could use? Or am I just out of luck?

I think you have to write to the SixXS staff and request an exception. You should explain them you are aware of the high latency and you have tested all of them. I'm from argentina and the lowest latency I found was 200 ms. I had no problems when enabling my tunnel but I wrote to the staff and I repeat my situation when I submitted the request form. If SixXS doesn't aprove it, you may try the 6to4 anycast (192.88.99.1). In this case your IPv6 address would depend on your IPv4 address (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6to4#Address_block_allocation) I tested it some time ago and it worked (but I have worse round-trip to 192.88.99.1 than SixXS PoP). Really, I recommend you asking again for the tunnel with SixXS. Regards Javier

What POP did you use? Goscomb in London might be your best bet - they don't reject users with a high latency.

That is incorrect. The gblon02 PoP has the same 100ms max and "in country users only" rule as other PoPs, there is though an explicit allow for Australian users.
