Carrier errors on the tunnel device

Hello,
I recently noticed that I get carrier errors on my sixxs tunnel device. The more bandwidth I use the faster the carrier errors increase. If I do not use a lot of bandwith I have nearly no errors at all. I read through the forums and saw that one problem mentioned was that the endpoint did not have the correct IP4 address set. Since aiccu is doing the setup everything is configured ok.
ifconfig sixxs:
sixxs Link encap:IPv6-in-IPv4
inet6 addr: 2001:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx::2/64 Scope:Global
inet6 addr: fe80::557c:6214/64 Scope:Link
inet6 addr: fe80::a00:8c/64 Scope:Link
inet6 addr: fe80::c0a8:1/64 Scope:Link
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1440 Metric:1
RX packets:1137099 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:765247 errors:2249 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:2249
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:1476970872 (1.3 GiB) TX bytes:109107546 (104.0 MiB)
ip tun:
sit0: ipv6/ip remote any local any ttl 64 nopmtudisc
sixxs: ipv6/ip remote 212.18.63.73 local 85.124.98.42 ttl 64
Since this is a dynamic IP it of course changes over time, but I checked that it is the same as on ppp0 every time I saw the carrier errors.
tcpdump on sixxs does not really show me anything suspicious like dropped packages etc. I also opened the firewall for IPV6 completely for a while to make sure I am not filtering something that's needed.
Kind regards,
Michael
