ssh login from an IPv4 computer
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Thursday, 28 December 2006 13:07:13
I tried to connect to my computer via ssh with the command: ssh <user>@<myPc>.<myDomain>.ipv4.sixxs.org. With this the remote computer is recognized and I get the password promptand the entered password is refused. If I try to connect directly via IPv6 there is no problem. Is there a solution for fixing this problem ? Regards, Jean-Jacques Sarton

Of course that password is refused. IPv6Gate and IPv4Gate (*.sixxs.org) only works for HTTP not for SSH. This is clearly stated on IPv6Gate page: --------------------- For whom is this service? The IPv6Gate service is available for all IPv6 capable HTTP/1.1 (+) clients. The IPv4Gate service is available for all IPv4 capable HTTP/1.1 (+) clients. ---------------------
