PoP selection
![]()
Hola
Recently my ISP did some route changes, so latency to PoP, that currently being
used by me became two times lower ( that is pretty good ).
At the same time i was curious, what are pings to other PoPs,
and wrote simple script.
Here's result:
./PoPSelect.sh
[+] 100.178 iedub01
[+] 91.163 deham01
[+] 107.476 ptlis01
[+] 62.618 simbx01
[+] 89.450 sesto01
[+] 79.403 bebru01
[+] 83.211 gblon02
[+] 46.689 plwaw01
[+] 163.324 uschi02
[+] 77.274 chzrh01
[+] 71.313 dedus01
[+] 79.652 noosl01

====[ STATS ]====
Top PoPs:
46.689 plwaw01
55.526 nlhaa01
The result pretty differs from PoP i'm using ( simbx01 - 62.618 ).
As I've read in FAQ, there is no ability to save IP whilst moving to new PoP,
and I understand that. But for me, honestly, that will be a cool feature to
have kinda those stats in my account ( silly, yeah.. ).
Other thing, I didn't understood - there were better PoPs at time when i've
requested tunnels. But tunnel was arranged on different one, so, are there any
utilities, that do those latency checks?
Thnx in advance.
