Junos connectivity to local pop not working
Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 18 August 2008 03:11:11
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there:
Hi,
I've had my tunnel running without issues to a cisco device in the past, during a DC move we removed the ipv6 router due to lots of network changes taking place, however i'm now ready to stand up the service and offer it to our clients natively to test within our datacenter.
Problem is, the below configuration doesn't appear to work, any help would be appreciated. I've tried setting the MTU to that of your minimum default of 1280 too
icepick@NCCORE01> show configuration interfaces gr-0/0/0 unit 1000
tunnel {
source 60.234.24.30;
destination 202.21.136.122;
path-mtu-discovery;
}
family inet6 {
address 2001:4428:200:a::2/64;
}
I've even added it to trust zone to test:
icepick@NCCORE01# set security zones security-zone trust interfaces gr-0/0/0.1000

The MTU on both sides of the tunnel have to match, it won't (fully) work when they don't match, one can configure
As you are trying this on a Juniper (which kind, what version etc?) you will need a Tunnel or Advanced Services PIC. See your Juniper documentation for the details.
For the rest see FAQ :: Connectivity :: Setup :: Juniper
and provide a lot more details when you want us to look at it.
